LOCATION
The Hotel Cactus invites you to stay in a lively and typically Parisian district. A few steps from the Gare Montparnasse and within easy reach of the Eiffel Tower and the Invalides, the hotel is located in a quiet street near many small neighbourhood shops, some of which are renowned throughout the city, such as the Cyril Lignac pâtisserie.
Thanks to the nearby availability of public transport, it will only take you about ten minutes to reach the Paris Expo exhibition and conference centre or the Bon Marché department store. In about twenty minutes, you can get to the Place de la Concorde, the Eiffel Tower or the Louvre.
Montparnasse
A district favoured by many artists between the wars, including Picasso, Montparnasse has lost none of its allure and excitement. There, you will find many restaurants, cinemas and theatres as well as shopping centres such as the brand-new Ateliers Gaîté.
Don't miss going up the Montparnasse Tower to the Observatoire Panoramique, which commands a breathtaking 360° view of the entire city.
Tour Eiffel
The best-known symbol of Paris, the Eiffel Tower remains a must during any stay in the capital. Whether you choose to go up to the first or even the third floor or whether you just stroll on the Champs de Mars to enjoy the view, the experience will be a magical one.
The Hotel Cactus team can help you book your tickets and arrange your date with the Iron Lady.
Invalides
Famous as the location of Napoleon’s tomb, the Invalides complex is so much more. Built at the behest of Louis XIV to accommodate the veterans of his many wars, the buildings comprise a magnificent example of classical architecture. The golden dome of the church, the large paved courtyard and the huge esplanade are simply superb.
The Hôtel des Invalides also houses the national military museum of France, the Musée des Armées, which houses extensive and fascinating collections of armour, weapons, uniforms, works of art and more.
